Natural alternative sweeteners from sugar beet – New look at sugar and it‘s role in food processing and nutrition

Crystalized sugar from sugar beet has become a gold standard for sweet taste. Today’s sugar overdosing in human diet and its implications are well known. BFT is a start-up company that has developed a new processing method for sugar beets and thus created a  new category of natural sweeteners. These alternative sweeteners are likely to improve the daily nutrition by lowering the risk from high sugar intake. This can only be achieved if the traditional processing of sugar beet is switched to the newly developed process.
